Terms of Service

By accessing or using Modern Resume ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Modern Resume is an AI-powered resume builder that allows users to create, edit, and share professional resumes and cover letters. The Service is available under a Free plan and a paid Pro plan.

You may use the editor without an account, but saving your resume requires signing in via magic link email. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email address and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

Free plan includes: resume builder, live preview, public share link, 1 PDF export per day (no watermark), and 1 AI-powered rewrite.

Pro plan ($11.99/month) includes: unlimited AI rewrites, AI cover letter generation, clean PDF exports (no watermark), themes and accents, and version history. Pro features are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing to Pro, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel, you retain Pro access until the end of your billing period. Contact us at [email protected] for billing issues.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is false, misleading, or infringes on third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Use AI features to generate harmful, discriminatory, or fraudulent content

You retain full ownership of the resume content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your resume data.

The Service uses OpenAI to generate resume summaries and cover letters. AI-generated content may not always be accurate or appropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before use. We make no guarantees about the quality or suitability of AI output.

When you publish your resume, it becomes publicly accessible via your share link. You are solely responsible for the content of your published resume. We reserve the right to remove published resumes that violate these terms.

All content, software, source code, design, trademarks, service marks, logos, and trade names associated with Modern Resume™ are the exclusive intellectual property of Leia Tech Solutions Incorporated ("Leia Tech"), a Wyoming corporation.

Use of Modern Resume™ is licensed to end users solely under the terms of this Agreement. No ownership, title, or intellectual property rights are transferred to the user. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Leia Tech Solutions Incorporated.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that resumes created with it will result in employment. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Modern Resume shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities or data loss.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
